At Calder Community Squash, we believe sport has the power to unite, inspire, and transform. Using squash as our starting point, we bring people together from all walks of life to create a community without barriers, where everyone is welcomed, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive. Whether you're stepping onto the court for the first time or returning to reconnect, our programs offer more than just a game: they offer connection, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Through positive role models and enriching activities, we aim to spark lasting change - on and off the court, for individuals, families, and the wider community.

Recent projects

Squash from the Mosque
Our flagship programme started right here in Halifax, where we now run women’s and girls-only sessions, as well as boys’ classes. Thanks to strong local support and our partnership with England Squash, we’ve expanded our reach and launched 25 Squash from the Mosque programmes—beginning in Calderdale and growing across the country!

Calder Community Kids
Saturday mornings at Calder Community Squash are all about energy, fun, and building confidence. Our kids’ sessions are a lively mix of games, skill-building, and teamwork, welcoming children of all abilities from across Calderdale. It’s a space where young people can stay active, make friends, and grow, both on and off the court, supported by our fantastic coaches and positive role models.
